Arc-Com Fabrics, continuing its
commitment to preserving the environment, expands its eco-tex® Collection of sustainable textiles.
Arc-Com, in the spirit of preserving
the planet for generations to come, has expanded it’s
collection of eco-tex® sustainable textiles to include
upholstery fabrics. Inspired by children around the world and
the games they play, the new additions are aptly named,
Hopscotch, Hula Hoop and Playground.
The whimsical nature of Hopscotch has an almost hand drawn
appearance. The exuberant design of this pattern employs
circular motifs randomly scattered upon a loosely structured
grid. Available in 11 bright colorways, Hopscotch has a
palette that includes fiery red, electric cobalt blue and
saturated lime green. An eco-tex® fabric, Hopscotch has a 100%
recyclable polyester backing that is fully compatible with the
100% recycled polyester yarns used to weave this textile. The
total compatibility of these components allows this fabric to
be fully recyclable as a whole without requiring additional
processing.
Reminiscent of hand stitching, pattern Hula Hoop utilizes a
larger circular motif to create a delightful, slightly subdued
design. Available in a sophisticated color palette that
includes beautiful colored neutrals, Hula Hoop has an
intriguing two tone effect apparent in certain colorways that
is created by the use of a tightly woven ground that exposes
both the warp and the fill. The highly lustrous recycled yarns
used to create the hand stitched effect of the motif add a
wonderful spark of interest to this exceptionally attractive
pattern.
Playground, an environmentally sound basic crepe woven from
100% recycled polyester, rounds out this exceptional
collection. Designed to work with Hopscotch and Hula Hoop,
Playground’s extensive colorline works beautifully with the
entire Arc-Com line of products. Available in 26 dynamic
colors, Playground provides an outstanding spectrum of color
that ranges from Ebony to Sunflower.
Created to be used together, Hopscotch, Hula Hoop and
Playground are woven from 100% recycled polyester and offer
design versatility in a broad range of color. These exciting
new patterns were developed to meet or exceed all ACT
standards for upholstery, wallcovering and panel applications
and offer a variety of unique sustainable fabrics that create
an environmentally safe solution to contract design. Although
available, Arc-Com has chosen not to apply Teflon to its
recycled textiles. Teflon finishes contains fluorocarbons,
which inhibit the recyclability of textiles.
Arc-Com first introduced eco-tex® textiles with its complete
line of recycled panel fabrics. Available in an attractive
range colored neutrals, eco-tex® panel fabrics offer an
assortment of finely detailed allover textures in
contemporary/transitional patterns with small to mid-scale
designs. Created to complement a comprehensive range of
manufacturers’ panel sizes and trim details, the varied
collection of subtle patterns range from a whimsical geometric
to an irregular crosshatch texture and include a several
organic designs depicting the delicate imagery of leaves.
All Arc-Com eco-tex® sustainable textiles are woven from
100% post consumer or post industrial recycled polyester and
are constructed from a single fiber type making them fully
recyclable. eco-tex® fabrics are produced using an increasingly
sustainable manufacturing process that reduces waste,
emissions, energy consumption, water usage and toxic
substances. eco-tex® textiles meet or exceed the performance
and quality standards of fabric manufactured using virgin
materials and conventional processes.
